Egypt

Land of pharaohs and pyramids, Egypt is likely the most famous tourist destination in the world.  Pyramids rise out of the rock and sand just outside of Giza and Cairo, dominating the landscape.  The temples of Luxor and the Valley of the Kings beckon travelers, scholars and inquisitive souls all alike.  Seeing something constructed thousands of years ago that is still standing is awe inspiring.  Not to mention the scale of everything is the biggest in the world, only matched by some things in China.
