Egyptians are some of the nicest people in the world. If you are lost on a bus in the Cairo slums, someone might turn around and ask you if you are lost and then provide directions for you to get back on track. Virtually every hotel will serve you Karkady, a wonderfully tasty Hibiscus Tea drink that will quench your thirst after wandering the desert for 40 days and nights. Food here is simple and you will do well if you can get yourself invited for a meal at someone’s home as you will not forget the experience.
