Kom Ombo Temple

Located fifty miles north of Aswan in Upper Egypt, Kom Ombo Temple is primarily accessed by Nile Cruise on a large cruise ship or a smaller sailing felucca.  This temple is small compared to Karnak and Luxor but it is easy and less restrictive for night exploration when the real character of the monolithic stone structure comes out.  Lit by various types of electric lights, the red stone takes on hues of pink, green, yellow and brick, much more interesting than the pale casts during the brutal Egyptian midday sun.
