Looking up the incredibly steep 52 degree incline of Djosers Step Pyramid, one will appreciate why it is not practically possible to climb on top of the pyramids; as I wandered the Saqqara complex, I heard small pebbles and stone bounce from unknown heights off the pyramid to the dust pile at the base as a solemn reminder not to get too close to the crumbling structure photo # afeg_d4092 |
