Rabat
Rabat is the political capital of Morocco. People here
are more reserved and dress more western than in other cities
in this country. However, these same people frequently
wear sandals, hanging on to their traditional upbringing.
Just outside the city gates lies the fortress of Chellah,
a Roman built citadel abandoned in 1154. Rabat provides
the traveler with the ultimate in juxtaposition – traditionally
dressed men conversing with men dressed in two piece suits
with loafers at street side cafes.
