Todra Gorge

Located between Ouarzazate and Merzouga, this deep-cut canyon is 1,000 feet (300m) high and 30 feet (10m) wide in spots. Sun pierces the canyon in the morning and the rest of the day is left in shade. A cool spring bubbles up at the upper entrance to the canyon and courses down into the oasis near the tourist driving entrance. Two hotels are available inside the canyon, with traditional meals and drinks served nightly in what is made out to be a nomad tent.
