Tokyo
The modern capital of Japan is the largest city on the planet. The
population swells from 13 million at night to 25 million in the day. Shinjuku
train station alone moves 30 million people throughout the capital. For
comparison, that's the entire population of California moving through a single
train station once per day; take that, traffic engineers. Tokyo contains the
most modern and cleanest facilities I have ever experienced while traveling,
and in contrast to all the technology, the city contains temples that are
nearly 1,000 years old. The contrast is made more apparent when businessmen
scurry about, passing women dressed in traditional Kimonos and
sandals. Traveling through Tokyo, you will find the absolute best of everything,
from food to jewelry to electronics. Enjoy the tour.
