Sisimiut
This iconic Danish outpost town on the western shores of Greenland has been inhabited for over 4,000 years. Brightly colored buildings adorn the hills surrounding the harbor. At the western end of the Arctic Circle Trail, this little settlement sees many foreigners through the summer and in March during the grueling Arctic Circle Race, dubbed the most difficult ski race in the world.
