El Calafate and Perito Moreno Glacier
El Calafate is the Argentine entrance to southern Patagonia, being a popular waypoint while traveling into the wilds of South America. An hour bus ride away is Perito Moreno Glacier. The glacier is quite active, dumping building size chunks of ice at least once an hour. The flow is so large that it looks deceivingly small.
