Mobile

A major port on the Gulf of Mexico, Mobile Alabama received its share of damage during hurricane Katrina in 2005. Many of the buildings near the water front were damaged or destroyed. However, the resilient people of Mobile have been in the rebuilding process ever since and the city looks great, doing very well considering the devastation cause by Katrina. The Museums and restaurants in the historical district are wonderful, and keep in mind we probably had the best food in the entire South here.
