Home of the Grand Canyon, American Indian treasures and other spectacles to behold, Arizona conjures visions of cactus studded sunsets, long highways drawing off into the horizon and grand landscapes. This state is often thought of as just a desert wasteland but in fact almost half the state exists on the Colorado Plateau, a high elevation landscape completely different than the southern desert counterpart.
